Tamkeen supports 90 Bahraini employees at WestPoint Home

The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) announced its support for the employment and career development of 90 Bahraini employees at WestPoint Home W.L.L., a leading textile manufacturing company, through its employment and career development support programmes.
Tamkeen’s support is aligned with its strategic priorities for 2025, which focus on enhancing the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping Bahrainis with suitable skills for career development in the private sector, and prioritizing enterprise growth, digitization, and sustainability, and supporting the development of the ecosystem surrounding the labour market and private sector.
As a corner stone of Bahrain’s non-oil economy, the Manufacturing Sector significantly contributes to economic growth. In 2024, it ranked as the second-largest contributor to GDP after the Financial and Insurance sector, accounting for 15.1% of total output.
On this occasion, Mr. Khalid Al Bayat, Chief Growth Officer at the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), commented: “we are committed to supporting ambitious Bahraini enterprises striving for global competitiveness and our continued support of WestPoint Home W.L.L. since 2017 has been instrumental in expanding its operations and developing its capabilities, which in turn enhanced the role of Bahraini talent through job creation and career growth.”
On his part, M r. Aziz Ahmed, Human Resources Manager at WestPoint Home W.L.L. said: "We greatly value our strategic partnership with Tamkeen, which began in 2017, and has significantly contributed to our business growth.”
