Emirates Expands Partnership with Trip.com to Strengthen Global Reach

Emirates has announced an expansion of its long-standing partnership with Trip.com, a leading global travel services provider. The agreement was formalized at ITB Berlin by Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President, Passenger Sales & Country Management for Emirates, and CT Ooi, VP of Flights Business, Trip.com Group.

The latest phase of this collaboration aims to capture emerging opportunities in new markets and customer segments. Emirates and Trip.com will work together to extend Trip.com’s global presence through strategic partnerships, leveraging Emirates' extensive international network. Their joint promotional efforts will focus on key Asian and European markets.

Enhancing Travel Offerings and Customer Experience

Nabil Sultan expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating: “We look forward to broadening our cooperation with Trip.com. This next phase will not only enhance the availability of Emirates products for Trip.com’s customers but also unlock demand for travel packages, integrate offers across loyalty programs, and reach diverse customer segments with specialized promotions. Our goal is to offer seamless and customizable travel experiences.”

CT Ooi echoed these sentiments: “At Trip.com, we are excited to take our partnership to new heights, integrating a wide range of flight offerings with an expanded portfolio of hotels and travel services. By combining Emirates’ world-class network with our innovative travel ecosystem, we aim to provide travelers with exclusive flight and hotel packages, tailored promotions, and enhanced loyalty rewards.”

Key Areas of Collaboration

Product Integration & Exclusive Promotions: Emirates and Trip.com will work together to integrate flight offerings with Trip.com’s growing hotel and travel services portfolio. They will also launch exclusive promotions tailored to families and holiday seekers.

Joint Campaigns & Loyalty Programs: The partners will coordinate targeted promotional activities to drive growth in key markets, incorporating customized offers for Trip.com Rewards and Emirates Skywards members.

Targeted Travel Segments: Special initiatives will be introduced for students, youth, and cruise travelers, with Emirates offering premium services such as its Chauffeur Drive service on the Trip.com platform.

Expanding Emirates’ Presence in Asia

Emirates first partnered with Trip.com in 2020 to expand its reach in China and later across Asia through joint marketing initiatives. With this new expansion, the airline is set to strengthen its presence in the region, introducing daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Shenzhen, China, four weekly services to Da Nang, Vietnam, and three weekly flights to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Emirates currently boasts the largest network of any non-Asian carrier, flying to 24 destinations across East Asia.

This deepened collaboration underscores Emirates’ commitment to providing enhanced travel experiences and further expanding its global footprint through strategic partnerships.
