BCCI and BJA host economic journalism training course

Bahrain Chamber, in collaboration with the Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA), concluded a training course on developing economic journalism skills. This programme aligned with Manama designation as the Arab Media Capital for 2024 and Bahrain Press Day.

The course aimed to enhance journalists’ skills in economic journalism, familiarize them with fundamental economic and financial concepts, provide training in analyzing economic data and creating comprehensive reports.

CEO of the Bahrain Chamber, Atef Al-Khaja, presented certificates of appreciation to the trainers, Senior News Anchor and Producer at Al Sharq Channel, Mohamed Al-Salti and Director at Bahrain Television, Mohamed Ibrahim.

Al Khaja also distributed participation certificates to the course attendees. Al Khaja emphasized the crucial role of economic journalism in economic development and highlighted the importance of incorporating modern technologies, especially artificial intelligence, into economic journalism.

For his part, the Executive Director of the Bahraini Journalists Association, Fawaz Suleiman, expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber for his significant support in organizing this course. He emphasized that this initiative would enhance the performance of journalists in the economic sector.
