His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday issued Royal Order (29) of 2023, adjourning the first session of the sixth Legislative Term of the Shura and Representatives councils, as from today.

The Royal Order shall be published in the Official Gazette. Following its issuance, HM the King received cables of thanks from Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam.

Al Saleh extended profound thanks and gratitude to HM King Hamad for his constant support to the work of the legislative branch.

He took pride in the democratic and legislative march and its achievements. Al Musallam extended profound thanks and gratitude to HM King Hamad for his royal confidence in the Council’s role in achieving the interests of the kingdom and its people.

He lauded HM King Hamad’s unwavering care for the “Democratic Monument”, the Representatives Council, which is one of the fruits of the royal reform project. The two legislative leaders pledged to remain loyal to HM the King and the cherished homeland, to enhance the kingdom’s progress and bring about more achievements to its citizens.

Inspiration

The Shura Council Chairman pledged to continue drawing inspiration from HM King Hamad’s wise visions to ensure the sustainability of the kingdom’s accomplishments.

“We will remain devoted to Your Majesty and the nation, while seeking to attain more progress and prosperity to the cherished kingdom and its loyal people,” he said, extending utmost congratulations to HM the King on the endorsement of the general state budget for the 2023-2024 fiscal years.

Al Saleh praised HM King Hamad’s directives to constantly improve the citizens’ living standards, and to strengthen cooperation between the legislature and the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Shura head also extended thanks and appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his ongoing keenness to broaden fruitful cooperation between the legislative and executive branches.

He commended HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s initiatives and constant cooperation with the Shura Council, contributing to enacting more national legislation and laws aimed at boosting the progress march currently witnessed by the kingdom during HM the King’s prosperous era.

His Royal Highness received a cable of thanks from Al Musallam. The Speaker expressed gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s commitment to enhancing cooperation between the legislative and executive branches, under the directives of His Majesty. He highlighted that the cooperation that has been achieved is in line with His Royal Highness’ efforts to further develop the Kingdom and serve its citizens.
