Bahrain to establish web-based Drone Hub System

Bahrain is working towards creating a web-based Drone Hub System to streamline the approval processes for drone services within the Kingdom.
The system which will have two parts will be managed by the Aviation Safety and Security Directorate and Aeronautical Licenses Directorate.
Customers can file a request through a public portal, while MTT will handle and process requests and other tasks via an internal portal.
The hub will also have a mobile app for customers to download, enabling them to submit, track, and view their requests and other information A tender for this purpose has garnered two bids - one from Rare Tech for BHD 51,216.000 and another from Affno Middle East for BHD 31,680.000.
It should be noted that the law in Bahrain prohibits flying unmanned aerial vehicles without special permission.
