His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), has helped the Supreme Organizing Committee prepare for the fourth edition of the Khalid bin Hamad Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Competition.

Bahrain Technical College (Bahrain Polytechnic) will organise the competition in cooperation with Microsoft. HH Shaikh Khalid said that Bahrain Polytechnic’s assistance in organising the competition affirms the importance of education, staying up to date with technical developments, and capacity building.

Students from Bahrain and other GCC countries will showcase their developments and innovations at the competition to progress education in the region. Dr Jassim Haji, President International Group of Artificial Intelligence, told The Daily Tribune: “Artificial Intelligence in Sports Summit is a platform that aims to bring together key stakeholders including sports clubs, government entities, and the private sector.

Additionally, it aims for AI experts to exchange knowledge and expertise, as well as offer advanced AI/ML opportunities for development and growth in the ever-promising sports sector.”
