BAC CEO named ‘Airport Personality of the Year’

Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah, was named “Airport Personality of the Year” at the 5th annual edition of the Emerging Markets Airports Awards (EMAA), held recently in conjunction with the Emerging Airports Conference in Kuwait.

Al Binfalah was recognised for his contribution in advancing Bahrain International Airport as a prime gateway into the region and his persistent efforts in supporting Bahrain’s growth as a tourist and aviation hub in the Middle East.

The annual EMAA event recognises product and service quality in the aviation industry across the Emerging Markets, including the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia Pacific, Russia and the CIS states.

This year’s awards distinguished excellence across ten categories of airport operations and winners were selected following a thorough assessment of applications received from a diverse group of professionals across the airports, aviation, aerospace, and cargo and logistics sectors. Commenting on the award, Al Binfalah said, “BAC is committed to operating Bahrain’s national gateway as a facility of world-class standards and all our efforts have been driven by an overriding objective; to continuously enhance the airport’s facilities, services and infrastructure for the benefit of our passengers.”
