Capital Municipality demolishes four dilapidated buildings in Karabadad

Capital Municipality yesterday demolished four abandoned houses with compromised structural integrity in the Karabadad area complex 438. The demolished structures had a total structural area of 460 square meters.
Mohamed Saad Al-Sahli, the Director-General of the Capital Municipality, said they had demolished seven dilapidated buildings in cooperation with their owners since 2022. The municipality, he said, is continuing to monitor properties in a critical state during daily campaigns.
The demolition process starts with the authority communicating with property owners and then placing notification and disconnecting services in coordination with the Electricity and Water Authority, Civil Defence and the cleaning company.
The top official called on owners of dilapidated real estate that received notifications to quickly demolish or repair the dangerous parts immediately to avoid their falling and the consequent legal accountability
