Rainwater drainage to Horat Sanad housing reaches 60% completion

The construction of the rainwater drainages that would benefit 550 housing units in Hort Sanad has reached 60% completion, a top Works Ministry official said.
The BD243,609 network links blocks 624 and 626 in the Al Aker region, said Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Khayat, the Undersecretary for Works Affairs.
About 1,254-meter drainage canals out of the targetted 1,309 meters have been completed, along with 16 out of the 17 inspection rooms. Construction of the rainwater collection points, 17 of them, is also complete, Al Khayat said.
The ministry, he said, is also doing preventive maintenance of rainwater drainages ahead of the rainy season. Yoko Engineering is the contractor of the project.
