'BCCI' Calls Upon Members & Clients to Avail from e-Services

The Customer Service Directorate in Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has recently announced that members can continue to avail from the services it provides at its headquarter in Bait Al Tijjar building and its branch in Bahrain Financial Harbour.

The Chamber affirmed on its readiness to complete transactions in record time, in implementation of the Chamber's strategy to implement its development plan to deal with any emergency events, in order to ensure the provision of services to all of its clients without being affected or interrupted.

BCCI explained in a statement issued on Tuesday that it is working as per well-studied plans and strategies to serve its clients in a mechanism that is suitable for all scenarios, developments or crisis, and in a way that ensures the continuity of the services provided in regular timings. 

Clarifying further, the Chamber confirmed that it provides 17 online services that clients can benefit from within safe, reliable and highly confidential processing.

These services include the issuance and attestation of certificates of origin, issuance of identification letters, and attestation of contracts, authorisations, certificates and commercial documents, as well as attestation of signatures, printing membership cards and issuance of membership data. 

The Chamber's online services also include providing members with details of economic events, seminars and conferences happening in the Kingdom, as well as providing information about member lists according to sectors, providing a service to inquire about false companies in the Kingdom and abroad, providing commercial directory service, online appointment reservation service, as well as measuring customer satisfaction.

BCCI announced that it has implemented a bundle of updates to its e-services in order to cope with the rapid advancement of technology and to provide the highest levels of service to its valued members and clients, without obliging them to physically attend at the service center.

Shedding more light on the efficacy of its online services, BCCI stated that the services could be summarized in simplified and easy steps, explaining that members and clients can benefit from them simply by visiting the website to fill in the services request form, where the receipt of the request is confirmed, and then waiting for telephone contact to complete the operations. 

Additionally, the Chamber affirmed that delivery services are available to receive and attest documents and the payment process could be made through the electronic payment device, at the same time, the Chamber added that transactions will be completed within a period of one to two working days, depending on the type of transaction.

BCCI underlined the current extraordinary circumstances in light of the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, highlighting its commitment to follow the directives of the Wise Leadership to reduce social interaction, hence, the Chamber announced that it has closed its branch in Khalifa Bin Salman Port temporarily and until further notice, starting from Monday March 23, 2020. However, the Chamber welcomed all inquiries from members and clients on 35666601, 35666604 and 35994444.

Meanwhile, BCCI confirmed that it has activated the flexible work system for its employees as of Monday, March 23, 2020, as per the directives of the Coordination Committee, spearheaded by the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to protect employees from the pandemic. 

The Chamber praised the preventive and precautionary measures implemented by Team Bahrain to combat Covid-19, highlighting that every responsible citizen is part of the solution to eradicate this pandemic by following the precautionary guidelines announced by the Kingdom, stressing at the same time on the importance of self-awareness to deal with the virus and the means to prevent and combat the virus as a conscious community that can overcome this stage without being affected by it.
