King Hamad, Queen Elizabeth honours showjumping champions
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland yesterday attend a ceremony to honor the winners of military showjumping championship held yesterday for the Cup of HM the King as part of the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
HM the King’s Personal Representative, Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) President His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and SCYS First Deputy Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President and Head of the Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended.
He was accompanied by HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation, Supreme Council for the Environment Vice President. Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj of Johor Province, senior officials, invitees, members of the delegation accompanying HM the King and equestrian sport fans were also present at the ceremony.
His Majesty King Hamad and HM Queen Elizabeth II crowned the BDF Military Sports Team which won HM the King’s Cup after winning the showjumping championship. Led by Khalid Al Khatery, the team also includes Ahmed Mansour and Saber Salman. His Majesty King Hamad and HM Queen Elizabeth II crowned the winners in different other competitions.
