Bomb hoax case adjourned to Aug. 17

The High Criminal Court has adjourned the case of a suspect implicated in a bomb hoax case until 17 August for review. The Bahraini defendant is accused of planting a fake bomb on March 10, 2015 at Shaikh Khalifa Al Kabeer Avenue in Muharraq.
He was nabbed following police investigations, and was charged with planting a fake bomb to terrify citizens and disturb public peace by disrupting the road traffic.
Riot case
In a separate case, the High Criminal Court has booked August 17 to hear the closing arguments in the trial of five accused in connection of a riot case. The defendants, aged between 17 and 26, are said to be part of the miscreants, who carried out vandalism acts on April 4 in the village of Samaheej.
