Gulf man dies in road mishap, family injured

A Gulf national was killed and his wife and three sons were injured when a car driven by a localite crashed their car from behind in Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway yesterday.
Eyewitnesses said the driver who caused the accident was in an abnormal state. A third vehicle and a motorcycle were also involved in the accident, but both the motorists escaped with minor injuries.
“I saw the victim’s vehicle being pushed towards me by the force of the collision. I managed to avoid it, but then the car that caused the accident hit my car,” the driver of the third vehicle said.
"We tried to save the family, but the father died on the spot," he added.
The mother and the three sons, all aged below 8, were admitted to hospital to receive treatment.
