Man steals vehicle to transport stolen loot

A 25-year-old person reportedly stole a vehicle to escape after committing a robbery.
According to court files, the accused stealing a safe-box containing BD2050, cheques and receipts from the safe of the company, where he worked.
The incident was reported to police by the company manager, who suspected the accused of committing the crime.
Upon investigation, prosecutors discovered he also later stole a pick-up to transport his loot.
After reaching his destination, he reportedly set the vehicle ablaze to conceal the traces of his robbery.
However, the 25-year-old accused denied committing the robbery, and said he was issued an arrest warrant while he was visiting his brother in Jaw Prison.
"I was aware of the robbery, but I wasn't in the company that day as there was a riot near my home," the accused told prosecutes during interrogations.
He was charged with two robberies and also for setting a vehicle on fire.
