Hamad Town beat Al Hamala

Manama : Hamad Town Youth Centre defeated Al Hamala Youth Centre 3-1 in the second round of preliminary matches of Group 8 in the latest matches of the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5) at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town.

After the match, Raed Al Najran of Hamad Town was nominated as the man of the match.

In another match in the same group, Al Ma’ameer were 5-3 winners against near neighbours Al Eker, with Mohammed Yousif of Al Ma’ameer being the player of the match.

A total of 23 goals were scored on the 11th day of the tournament as matches moved into the third round of preliminaries.

As competition moved into the final phase of matches, Group 1 action saw Muharraq defeat Al Buhair 4-2, but at the expense of star player Mahmood Al-Sharqawi who was injured during the match and may miss the next couple of matches. 

The other group match finished with Buri getting its maiden victory by 4 0 over Karzakan and seeing Elyas Al Hujairi as the man of the match.

This tournament is being played under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities and organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the slogan #Generations_Meeting.

It started on July 24 and continues until September 14 and features 59 teams, divided into 36 youth centres teams, 9 unregistered clubs, 8 teams of people with disabilities institutions and 6 girls teams.
