Multi- storied mosques needed

Muslims in the Kingdom are offering their Friday prayers on the road outside the mosque in Salmaniya residential area.
Vehicles can be seen parked near the line of worshippers. Worshippers spreading their prayer mats and offering prayers at roads adjacent to mosques is a common sight both in Salmaniya and Manama.
The worshippers find it difficult to concentrate on their prayers due to the continuous traffic flow and also hot temperature. Also this practice paints Bahrain in poor light.
The worshippers told DT News, Bahrain needs more large and spacious mosques to combat this problem. A worshipper suggested, if it is space restriction that hinders the construction of new mosques, turning the existing mosques into multi-storied ones could serve the purpose.
