Bahrain Road Runners mourn death of Nicolas Ciaverlla
Manama: Bahrain Road Runners (BRR) has announced the death of Nicolas Ciaverlla (56), an Italian expatriate in Bahrain. He was working with the Italian Embassy in Manama and had left Bahrain a few months ago to Italy for cancer treatment. He died there yesterday.
BRR said on its Facebook page: "It is with much sorrow and regret that we bring to all our running friends the sad news of the demise of our dear friend Nicolas Ciaverlla. Nicolas lost his final battle against cancer today and we send all our love and prayers to Libera who has lost her life partner. Nicolas's wonderful spirit and joy for life will always be remembered and missed terribly. May he rest in peace."
Expressing his condolence on the demise of Mr Ciaverlla, BRR Chairman Khalifa Najem told DT News that Nicolas was an active member of the Bahrain Road Runners and he loved the Kingdom passionately.
Bahrain Road Runners (BRR) is a running group that invites all to join in its activities throughout the year. It organizes races such as the marathon, half marathon, triathlons, duathlon, biathlon as well as other races.
