Lanes crowned Monday Madness Champions

 Husband and wife Rob and Debbie Lane (14 points) were the runaway winners of the Coca-Cola Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club in the order of merit.

The duo racked up the points after winning one competition in the six week series as well as clinching second, third and fourth place finishes.

Rajinder Sachdeva and playing partner Kwang Seok Kim (7) came a distant second in the order of merit, while Steve and Samantha Hill (6) in third.
A promising pair of young Bahraini golfers, Eid Adel Meftah and& Ali Al Kowari (31) won the final competition of the series on count back, just wresting away the win from the Lanes. There was a three-way tie for third place which finally went to Adnan Al Sowaidi and Sharif Ahmed (26) on count back.
Nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 were won by Mohamed Akeel and Steve Hill respectively.

The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge where Sheldon Cameron, the Royal Golf Club’s Golf Operations Manager was on hand to present the prizes.

The series takes place every Monday evening and is a nine-hole competitions and is open to non-members and tees off with a 6:30pm shotgun start and the first week of a new six week series.
