SCW hails Bahraini women’s achievements in medicine
Manama: Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Assistant Secretary-General Dhawiya Sayyed Sharaf Al Alawi hailed Bahraini women’s strides in the medical field and their active participation in all health sectors in the Kingdom.
Al Alawi was speaking during a meeting with Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland - Bahrain (RCSI-Bahrain) President Professor Sameer Otoom to discuss cooperation.
She outlined the SCW-led programmes and projects under the national strategy, which aims at empowering women and consolidating their gains.
The two sides discussed joint cooperation to exchange expertise and integrate women’s needs into national development programmes.
They also explored the establishment of a joint committee to work on programmes that support the empowerment of
Bahraini women.
During the meeting, five Bahraini women doctors also spoke about their success stories in conducting studies and researches.
