Shaikh Khalid in OIC preparatory meeting
Istanbul : Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa participated yesterday in the Council of Foreign Ministers Preparatory Meeting of the 13th Session of the Islamic Summit Conference. The Summit will be held under the theme “Unity and Solidarity for Justice and Peace” in Istanbul, Turkey from April 14 to 15.
Topics on the agenda of the summit include a number of issues, most notably the Palestinian cause, the fight against terrorism and violent extremism and Islamophobia.
The summit will also discuss the humanitarian situation in the Islamic world and OIC Programme of Action: 2016-2025.
The Summit will also issue final communiqué and the Istanbul Declaration.
The Islamic Summit aims to review the political, economic and social areas of the current international situation and discuss their implications on the Islamic world and how to address them.
