The case was filed by his daughter-in-law at a police station in Indian commercial city of Mumbai.

The retired Bahraini cop, in his anticipatory bail application, claimed they were framed in the case when he and his wife went to India to resolve the dispute between their son and daughter-in-law.
The court, after going through the documents, noted the allegation was levelled are against the son and granted bail to the retired cop as well as his wife.
The court also allowed the retired to cop to leave India without prior permission of the court, with the condition that he must be present at the police station from June 10 to 12, and also when required for the purpose of investigation.
The court also warned them not to get in touch with the complainant or try to influence other witnesses.
