Southern Holidays Festival: Southern Governorate Celebrates National Day

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, the "Southern Holidays" festival was held at Khalifa Grand Park in Riffa. The event marked Bahrain’s National Days and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne, drawing wide participation from residents and citizens.
The festival aimed to revive the governorate’s rich heritage and strengthen community partnership. Highlights included cultural corners featuring traditional crafts, Bahraini Ardha, folk costumes, and poetry sessions by "Poets of the Future." Visitors also explored stalls for productive families, falconry displays, and historical artifacts. For children, a special corner by the Security Culture Department featured the "My Country" magazine and interactive games.
The Governor toured various sections, including an interactive visual screen displaying Riffa’s historical landmarks. Supported by major sponsors like KFH, NBB, and Al Salam Bank, the Southern Governorate will continue its diverse celebration program throughout December.
