Bahraini resident publicly attacked at court premises

He reportedly came to give witness statements

A Bahraini resident was allegedly attacked by an accused at court premises recently.

The incident occurred when the Bahraini resident M.K. Sirajuddin arrived at the court, along with three other persons, as a witness in an incident took place a year ago.

A person was allegedly kidnapped on March 31 last year by one of his partners to forcibly obtain his signature on some documents. M.K. Sirajuddin and other three persons had seen the victim being kidnapped and later, they came forward to present their statements at the court. 

A case was filed at Hamad Town police station on the kidnap of the person.

After noticing the victim, who is also the local coordinator of Non-Resident Keralites’ Affairs Department (NORKA) at the court premises, the accused allegedly rushed towards him and hurled abuses.

Later, the accused also physically attacked him near the court gate, in front of hundreds of onlookers, Sirajuddin told DT News.

A case was registered at Hoora police station, he said adding that the evidences related to the attack had been submitted to the authorities.
