Minister hails BNP Paribas
Manama: The Minister of Finance, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, held talks yesterday with BNP Paribas chairman, Jean Lemierre, and the accompanying delegation.
They discussed means of enhancing BNP Paribas’ activities in Bahrain, which span four decades, commending the achievements that have been accomplished so far by providing a wide range of innovative financing and investment tools.
The Minister hailed BNP Paribas as a symbol of the French banking sector and one of the leading banking groups in Europe and worldwide.
He stressed the strong potential for developing further co-operation between the two parties, given that Bahrain plays host to the group’s regional headquarter for Middle East and Africa.
The ongoing developments relating to financial and economic sectors and the global economy as a whole were also discussed during the meeting.
