Isa Town Park Development Reaches 90% Completion
Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Engineer Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak inspected the ongoing development works at Isa Town Park in Block 809, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing parks, public facilities and green spaces across Bahrain.
The Minister was accompanied by Abdullah Ibrahim Abdul Latif, Chairman of the Southern Region Municipal Council; Engineer Issa Abdulrahman Al Buainain, Director General of the Southern Region Municipality; and Mubarak Faraj, Member of the Second District of the Southern Region Municipal Council.
During the inspection, Al Mubarak said the Ministry would continue implementing projects to develop parks and public facilities, expand afforestation initiatives and increase green spaces to support environmental sustainability and improve recreational facilities for citizens and residents.
The 7,551-square-metre Isa Town Park development project is 90% complete. The project includes the rehabilitation of existing facilities, a 430-square-metre children’s play area, and a 1,890-metre-long walking path.
The project will also expand green areas across 4,038 square metres, with 210 trees being planted and 40 parking spaces provided. Construction is expected to be completed during the last quarter of 2026.
The Minister described the project as an important addition to the recreational and service facilities in the Southern Governorate, providing a suitable environment for people of different age groups.
He also highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to development initiatives that support Bahrain’s Sustainable Development Goals, while praising cooperation with the Southern Region Municipal Council in identifying and addressing residents’ needs.
