HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Chairman of Acwa
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Mohammad Abdullah Abunayyan, Chairman of Acwa, at Riffa Palace.
His Royal Highness highlighted the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for Bahrain-Saudi relations, which continues to drive bilateral development and growth.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also underscored that the deep-rooted Bahrain-Saudi partnership continues to act as a solid foundation for further strengthening joint cooperation, particularly in the energy sector.
His Royal Highness commended the joint cooperation and coordination between the two Kingdoms across all fields, reflecting the commitment of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, to further advance the strategic partnership between the two Kingdoms.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reiterated that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to take steps to enhance the efficiency of its energy sector, as well as to diversify energy sources through adopting innovative solutions and expanding renewable energy projects to support economic growth.
His Royal Highness emphasised that public-private sector partnerships are crucial to supporting and successfully delivering projects, and achieving development goals through innovation and modern technologies.
His Royal Highness welcomed the continued cooperation between Bahrain and Acwa, and its contributions towards energy projects.
For his part, the Chairman of Acwa expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness for his continued commitment to driving closer collaboration between the two Kingdoms across various fields, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, HE Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Bahrain, and a number of senior officials also attended the meeting.
