His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. Ministers strongly condemned continued Iranian hostile actions targeting Bahrain, other GCC states, and Jordan, describing the attacks as violations of Bahrain’s sovereignty, international law, and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026).
The Cabinet said the targeting of civilians, residents and infrastructure would not weaken Bahrain’s determination, reaffirming the Kingdom’s right under international law to protect its security and territorial integrity.
It also expressed full solidarity with allies facing similar threats and called on the international community to take measures to prevent violations of international law while ensuring the security of global maritime routes, including safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Cabinet praised the readiness and efforts of the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard, the Ministry of Interior, and all military, security and civil authorities for their role in safeguarding national security.

The latest indicators showed continued progress toward employment and training goals. By the second quarter of 2026, Bahrainis reached 43% of the annual employment target of 25,000 and new Bahraini workforce entrants reached 33% of the target of 10,000. Training programmes achieved 40.5% of the target of 15,000 participants.
The Cabinet also approved several measures, including new commercial activities, financial allocations for municipal projects, draft agreements on GCC legal and judicial cooperation, and reports related to education quality and national examinations for Grades 9 and 12 for the 2025–2026 academic year.
