Bahrain Marks Arab Youth Day

Bahrain celebrated Arab Youth Day with the "Arab Mosaic" event, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, bringing together young participants from Bahrain and across the Arab world in a celebration of unity, creativity and shared cultural identity.

The event aimed to strengthen communication and cooperation among Arab youth while promoting the values of belonging, solidarity and a shared Arab identity.

Speaking at the event, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, described Arab Youth Day as an important occasion to recognise the vital role young people play in shaping the present and future of Arab societies.

She said joint programmes and initiatives contribute to strengthening ties among Arab youth by encouraging cultural exchange, mutual understanding and greater cooperation across the region.

The minister reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting initiatives that foster creativity and provide young people with opportunities to express their ideas and talents. She noted that such programmes help discover and develop promising talent while reinforcing cultural and civilisational links among Arab nations.

She added that investing in youth creativity and encouraging participation in collaborative initiatives strengthens Arab identity and enhances the role of young people as active partners in sustainable development and building the future of the region.

As part of the celebration, participants took part in a creative workshop at Mosaic House, where young artists from Bahrain and other Arab countries worked together to create artworks inspired by the cultural, artistic and heritage landmarks of their respective nations.

The workshop concluded with the unveiling of a collaborative mural incorporating visual elements representing the participating Arab countries, symbolising unity, solidarity and the rich shared heritage of the Arab world.
