His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Bahrain, received the Chiefs of Staff of the armed forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, along with senior GCC military officials, in Manama on Monday.
The delegation also included the Assistant Secretary-General for Military Affairs at the GCC, the Commander of the Unified Military Command, and the newly appointed Assistant Secretary-General for Military Affairs. The meeting took place following the Military Committee session of GCC Chiefs of Staff held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the audience, the delegation conveyed greetings and best wishes from the leaders of the GCC states to His Majesty the King, wishing Bahrain and its people continued progress and prosperity.
His Majesty King Hamad welcomed the delegation and asked them to convey his greetings to the GCC leaders, expressing his best wishes for continued development and prosperity for the peoples of the region.
The King expressed appreciation for the efforts of GCC Chiefs of Staff in strengthening military cooperation, coordination, and integration among member states. He praised their unified approach in addressing regional security challenges and countering threats to stability.
His Majesty also highlighted the key role of GCC armed forces in safeguarding the security, sovereignty, and achievements of member states, as well as ensuring the safety of citizens and residents. He noted their high levels of readiness, efficiency, and professionalism, particularly in responding to recent regional security threats, describing this as evidence of the strength and integration of the Gulf defence system.
He reaffirmed that any attack on one GCC member state is considered an attack on all, underscoring the principle of collective security.
For their part, the GCC Chiefs of Staff expressed their gratitude to His Majesty the King for his continued support and directives aimed at enhancing joint GCC military cooperation across all fields.
