46 Students Join First Virtual Workshop of Governor’s Security

The Southern Governorate has launched the first virtual workshops of the seventh edition of the Governor’s Security and Social Programme, with the participation of 46 students aged between 12 and 15.

The programme, held under the support and follow-up of Southern Governorate Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, is part of the governorate’s annual summer initiatives aimed at engaging young people during their holiday period while enhancing their knowledge, skills and social awareness.

The opening session featured an awareness workshop titled “How to Protect Ourselves from Bullying”, organised in cooperation with the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science at the Ministry of Interior.

Specialists from the directorate delivered educational sessions covering the concept of bullying, its different forms, and its psychological and social impacts. The workshop also highlighted preventive measures and ways for young people to respond effectively, helping promote positive behaviour and create a safer environment among students.

The Southern Governorate said the workshop reflects its ongoing partnership with security departments at the Ministry of Interior, which has played a key role in the success of the programme through previous editions by providing valuable educational and awareness content.

The governorate added that the programme continues to support efforts to build an aware and responsible generation by offering a variety of educational, awareness and recreational activities in cooperation with security bodies and community organisations.

The seventh edition of the programme will continue with a series of virtual workshops and activities designed to strengthen security culture, promote national values and develop the abilities of participating students throughout the summer vacation.
