Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has highlighted the role of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s leadership in strengthening the Kingdom’s security capabilities and readiness to respond effectively to emergency situations.
The minister made the remarks during a meeting with Lord Tariq Ahmad, former UK Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, held in the presence of Chief of Public Security Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan.
Shaikh Rashid welcomed Lord Tariq Ahmad and praised the strong foundations of security and stability enjoyed by Bahrain, attributing the Kingdom’s progress to the leadership and vision of His Majesty the King.
He said the King’s approach has helped establish strong national defence and security foundations, enabling Bahrain to enhance its capabilities and maintain a high level of professionalism and efficiency in handling challenging circumstances.
The Interior Minister also praised the comprehensive measures adopted by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in addressing current challenges through an advanced national framework focused on preparedness, coordination and collective efforts.
During the meeting, Shaikh Rashid highlighted the historic relations and strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, stressing the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The discussions covered opportunities to enhance security coordination, exchange expertise and develop joint efforts to address security challenges and support regional stability.
The meeting also reviewed several regional developments and issues of shared interest.
