Industry Minister Tours Salman Industrial City and New Holding Facilities

Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, conducted an inspection tour of Salman Industrial City in Hidd, including a visit to Kingdom Group companies operating under New Holding.

The minister was received by Ali Jameel Al Mutawa, Vice Chairman of the Board, Abdullah Shehabi, Group Managing Director, Ahmed Khalaf, Chief Executive Officer, and Matrook Al Mutawa, Operations Manager, along with several company officials.

During the visit, Minister Fakhro reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting Bahrain’s industrial sector and strengthening its role in sustainable economic development, supply chain resilience, and national industrial competitiveness.

He stressed the importance of expanding local industries, increasing production capacity, and enhancing industrial security to support the Kingdom’s development goals.

The minister was briefed on the group’s operations, expansion plans, and future projects, and toured the facilities to review production processes, quality standards, and operational efficiency.

Officials from New Holding highlighted their commitment to supporting Bahrain’s industrial development and improving productivity in line with the Kingdom’s economic vision.

New Holding manages a diversified portfolio of industrial and construction companies in Bahrain through a centralised governance system, operating across sectors including asphalt, cement, concrete, ready-mix, sand washing, and chemical solutions.
