Deputy Prime Minister Receives Cypriot Ambassador

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received Dr. Andreas Iliades, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Bahrain and Cyprus continue to strengthen cooperation across various sectors, highlighting the steady progress in diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries.

He praised the level of coordination and mutual support between Bahrain and Cyprus at regional and international forums, reaffirming Bahrain’s support for efforts aimed at promoting security, stability and peace in the region.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah also wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic mission, expressing confidence that his efforts would contribute to further enhancing bilateral ties.

The meeting reviewed a number of regional and international developments and explored ways to expand cooperation, particularly in the economic, development and investment sectors, in line with the shared interests and aspirations of both countries.

For his part, Ambassador Iliades expressed appreciation for the meeting and reaffirmed Cyprus’ commitment to continuing cooperation and coordination with Bahrain to advance mutual interests and strengthen bilateral relations.
