IPA And AGU Sign MoU To Strengthen Academic Cooperation
The Institute of Public Administration (IPA) and Arabian Gulf University (AGU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in academic, research and development fields, while supporting the development of national and Gulf competencies.
The MoU was signed by Dr Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, IPA Director-General, and Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fahid, AGU President.
Dr Shaikha Rana bint Isa highlighted the importance of partnerships with academic and scientific institutions in exchanging expertise and knowledge and supporting efforts to develop competencies and capabilities. She noted that the IPA continues to expand its partnerships with academic institutions through joint initiatives and programmes in areas of mutual interest.
Dr Al Fahid said the partnership would help connect academic knowledge with practical application, while strengthening AGU’s regional role in knowledge and innovation. He also highlighted opportunities to expand research and consultancy cooperation in public administration and government development across Bahrain and the GCC.
The MoU provides a framework for joint research, the formation of teams bringing together academics and practitioners, and the participation of IPA trainers in university educational programmes.
It also covers institutional and technological innovation, capacity building, joint events and activities, and the development of innovative solutions to institutional challenges.
