Bahrain Delegation Participates in Arab Parliamentary Scouts Union Assembly in Morocco
A delegation from Bahrain’s parliamentary division participated in the opening session of the 18th General Assembly of the Arab Parliamentary Scouts Union, held in Rabat, Morocco.
The Bahraini delegation included Mohammed Jassim Al Alawi, head of the delegation, along with Redha Ibrahim Monfaredi and Jalal Kadhim Al Mahfoudh.
The opening ceremony featured speeches by senior Moroccan officials and the President of the Arab Parliamentary Scouts Union, in addition to honouring former members of the union.
During his address, Mohammed Jassim Al Alawi affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to supporting joint Arab action under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He said the region’s current challenges require stronger coordination, integration, and cooperation among Arab countries to enhance security, stability, and development.
Al Alawi also stressed that recent regional developments and attacks targeting Bahrain, GCC countries, and Jordan demonstrate that national security extends beyond military measures and increasingly depends on building awareness, responsibility, and social cohesion among youth.
He highlighted the importance of the scouting movement in strengthening national identity, promoting citizenship values, and preparing young generations capable of confronting misinformation, extremism, and attempts to undermine social unity.
Al Alawi added that Bahrain continues to prioritise investment in youth development through policies that empower young people and support scouting initiatives as platforms for leadership, awareness, and community engagement.
He expressed hope that the assembly would contribute to strengthening social cohesion and advancing joint Arab cooperation while preparing future generations to safeguard the stability and security of Arab nations.
