ABU DHABI: Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, held high-level talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Abu Dhabi yesterday to address regional security. The meeting focused on Iran’s continued attacks on the UAE and other Gulf states, which the two leaders described as a ‘violation of sovereignty and international law’.

Mr. Vucic, who is on a working visit to the Emirates, condemned the acts of aggression and expressed his country’s full support for the steps the UAE is taking to safeguard its ‘security, stability, territorial integrity and to protect the public’. Both sides emphasized the need for an immediate halt to military escalation, ‘prioritising diplomacy and dialogue’.

The discussions were attended by Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohamed and Adviser to the UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad. By focusing on these critical security issues, the leaders aimed to reinforce ‘strategic cooperation’ amid escalating regional tensions.
