Bahrain Defence Force Inaugurates Advanced Marine Infantry Obstacle Course
Lieutenant General His Excellency Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), affirmed that the continuous development and modernisation of all BDF units and weapon systems reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to maintaining high levels of military readiness and professionalism.
He noted that these achievements are made possible through the gracious support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, and the close follow-up of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
The remarks were made during the inauguration ceremony of the Marine Commandos Obstacle Course, affiliated with the Marine Infantry Battalion of the Royal Bahraini Naval Force. The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Marine Infantry Company, along with a number of senior BDF officers. The event coincided with celebrations marking the 58th anniversary of the establishment of the Bahrain Defence Force.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by an inspection tour led by the Chief of Staff and Lieutenant Colonel Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, during which they reviewed the advanced facilities and equipment of the newly inaugurated training site.
For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the Bahrain Defence Force continues to enhance its capabilities and operational readiness across all levels, thanks to the unlimited care and support provided by His Majesty the King, the guidance of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the significant backing of the BDF Commander-in-Chief.
He described the new obstacle course as a qualitative addition to Bahrain’s advanced military training infrastructure, contributing to strengthening the combat capabilities of the Marine Infantry in defending the nation and safeguarding its achievements.
He added that the project reflects the BDF’s commitment to raising the efficiency and combat readiness of its personnel through a comprehensive training environment that simulates the most challenging field conditions, helping to refine both physical and mental skills. He also expressed his appreciation to all those who contributed to the successful completion of the project.
