Annual Bahrain Fine Arts Exhibition Returns
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the 52nd edition of the Annual Bahrain Fine Arts Exhibition will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the Bahrain National Museum. The exhibition is organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA).
The exhibition celebrates promising visual experiences, contemporary creativity, and pioneering artistic trends that have marked a qualitative shift in the development of Bahrain’s fine arts scene. Around 70 artists are participating, presenting works that reflect the diversity and richness of their cultural backgrounds, expressed through various international artistic schools.
The participating artworks showcase distinctive styles and innovative techniques across a wide range of visual arts, including painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, and mixed-media installations. These works are characterised by modern approaches and experimental uses of media and form.
The exhibition contributes significantly to enriching Bahrain’s cultural landscape with a renewed perspective, where local symbols intersect with global artistic influences in diverse expressive dimensions. It serves as a platform for visual dialogue within an integrated aesthetic framework that narrates the long-standing and evolving history of Bahrain’s artistic movement.
This edition features the participation of prominent figures from the art world through its selection committee, which includes curator Badr Al Saad, curator Melissa Enders, and visual artist and curator Ahmed Imam. The judging panel comprises Dr. Effat Fadaaq, curator and director of Naqsh Art Studio; Suhaila Taqsh, director of the Barjeel Art Foundation; and Haifa Al Jishi, curator and founder of Albareh Art Gallery.
The Annual Bahrain Fine Arts Exhibition is regarded as the Kingdom’s leading visual arts platform since its launch in 1972, embodying the richness and diversity of Bahrain’s artistic experience and reinforcing its position as a key contributor to the Arab and global art scene.
