New Philippine Ambassador Presents Credentials to Bahrain Deputy PM

His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received His Excellency Genis Jaime Gallega, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at his office in Gudaibiya Palace this morning, on the occasion of presenting his diplomatic credentials.

During the meeting, Shaikh Khalid welcomed the ambassador, wishing him success in his new role, and highlighted the strong historical ties between Bahrain and the Philippines, built on mutual respect and shared interests.

His Excellency noted the steady development of bilateral relations, reflecting the commitment of both countries to strengthen cooperation and explore broader avenues of coordination, bringing benefits and prosperity to their peoples. He also emphasized the valued contribution of the Filipino community to Bahrain’s comprehensive development across various sectors.

The discussion included ways to enhance economic cooperation in areas such as food security and investment, as well as other topics of mutual interest.

For his part, Ambassador Gallega expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, reiterating the Philippines’ eagerness to deepen collaboration in ways that serve the interests of both nations, and wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
