MP Dr Maryam Al Dhaen said the Rayaat Al Watan Forum, run by the AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, centres on training, job skills and volunteering for young Bahrainis, and pointed to the interest shown by His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate.

Dr Al Dhaen said the forum aims to strengthen young people’s educational and professional skills through structured programmes that provide practical training and real workplace experience.

She referred to the Governor’s attendance at events linked to youth development, describing it as support for programmes aimed at helping young people move from study into work and community service.

Work

Dr Al Dhaen also spoke about the wider work of the AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation in education and skills-building, including its emphasis on practical training.

The Foundation is chaired by Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, with programmes that aim to raise education standards, build youth skills and prepare participants for labour market needs.

She said the Foundation also places volunteering and community service at the heart of its work, linking it to stronger responsibility and life skills alongside job skills.

Values

Dr Al Dhaen said volunteering helps build ethical and humanitarian values among young people and encourages them to take part in community work.

She said the Rayaat Al Watan Forum included dialogue sessions, professional workshops and recognition of trainees and participants, adding that it offers hands-on learning and new experiences aimed at preparing them for the future.

She also referred to the Southern Governorate’s support for youth and community programmes and its role in helping create an environment where talent can grow and opportunities are available to young people.
