Bahrain welcomed the opening of Scent Arabia, its premier exhibition dedicated to fine fragrances, perfumes, oud, and bakhoor.

Running from 25–29 November 2025 across 9,000 sqm, the exhibition attracts high-spending perfume enthusiasts from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, seeking rare and exclusive scents for daily wear, layering, and special occasions.

Bringing together boutique houses, heritage names and contemporary perfumers, the exhibition highlights the depth of Gulf fragrance culture and its enduring craftsmanship.

Participants

Among the standout participants is Perfume Lounge, a Bahraini boutique established in 2016 and known for curating niche European fragrances not sold elsewhere in the Kingdom. The brand features labels from France, Italy and the UK favoured even by royals.

To appeal to everyday perfume users, Perfume Lounge has also launched an affordable line priced between BD 20–27, alongside bespoke gift sets for Ramadan, Bahraini Women’s Day and corporate clients.

Another major attraction at the exhibition is Junaid Perfumes, recognized as the oldest perfume house in the Middle East and Africa, founded in 1910 in Manama.

From a small family-run shop, the brand has expanded to 117 stores across the GCC, with plans to enter Europe and the United States.

At its live demonstration stall, Junaid Perfumes displays the traditional craft of bakhoor making, carefully cleaning the raw wood to ensure it burns properly on charcoal and releases a pure, aromatic fragrance. This generational craftsmanship drew strong interest from visitors keen to understand the heritage behind Gulf scent rituals.

Top crowd favourites included Marshoud 4 by Atyab Al Marshoud, Ruby by Junaid Perfumes, Haramain Amber Oud Gold Edition, and Imperial Valley by Gissah - fragrances that highlight the Gulf’s love for rich, long-lasting blends rooted in oud, amber and spices.

Scent Arabia signals Bahrain’s ambitions to become a key player in the regional perfumery market. Running until 29 November, the exhibition brings together the brands, traditions and trends shaping the future of fragrance in the Gulf.
