New Millennium School Observed GCC Cancer Week And World Cancer Day

In a strong display of social responsibility and compassion, New Millennium School, Bahrain, observed the World Cancer Day on 4th February, 2026 , with a series of meaningful awareness activities aimed at educating students and the school community about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of collective support.

The observance included special assemblies,  awareness talks,  poster-making and slogan-writing activities, and interactive classroom discussions, through which students learned about healthy lifestyles, risk factors, early warning signs of cancer, and the significance of empathy and community involvement. Students actively participated by wearing awareness ribbons and sharing messages of hope and encouragement.

As part of the Charity drive the students also donated an amount of BD Three Hundred (BD 300) to the Bahrain Cancer Society, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to supporting cancer patients and ongoing awareness efforts in the Kingdom.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr Arun Kuumar Sharma, emphasized the importance of awareness and education in combating cancer.

He   stated that initiatives like these help students grow into responsible and compassionate citizens who understand the value of health, empathy, and service to society.

Chairman Dr Ravi Pillai and Managing Director Mrs Geetha Pillai appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students, staff, and parents, and reiterated the school’s dedication to standing in solidarity with cancer patients and survivors. The observance of Gulf Cancer Week and World Cancer Day at New Millennium School served as a powerful reminder that awareness, early action, and community support can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
