Public Health: Bahrain’s First Line of Defense

His Excellency Lieutenant General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, inaugurated the International Public Health Conference and Exhibition this morning at the Gulf Convention Centre.
Attended by Minister of Health Dr. Jalila bint Sayed Jawad Hassan and a wide array of regional and international experts, the conference (Nov 6–7) highlights Bahrain’s commitment to scientific dialogue and developing its healthcare system.
H.E. the Chairman stressed that public health is an investment in human capital and the “first line of defense,” crucial for achieving Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. The event aims to unify efforts, build resilient health systems, and strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a regional health center.
