iGA Completes Major App Merger: Electricity and Water Services Now Exclusively on MyGov

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), in collaboration with the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), has announced the successful integration of all Electricity & Water Services into the unified MyGov app. Following this successful transfer, the standalone Electricity & Water Services App will be officially discontinued starting Thursday, October 23, 2025.
This integration is a key component of the government's ambitious mobile apps merger plan, which aims to consolidate existing government applications into three primary, streamlined platforms: the MyGov app for all individual services, the Al-Tajir app dedicated to businesses and investors, and the Bahrain app designed for visitors.
The move significantly streamlines access for citizens and residents, placing essential utilities alongside a wide array of other eGovernment services. Users of the MyGov app can now conveniently complete various electricity and water transactions, including:
- Bill and connection fee payments.
- Inquiries and payments for both current and past bills.
- Viewing previous payment records and consumption summaries.
- Calculating and comparing average consumption rates.
- Accessing locations for EWA service centers.
This consolidation effort ensures users can complete all their transactions easily and efficiently from a single, centralized platform.
The MyGov app has already proven highly popular. Since its launch in February 2025 until August 2025, the application has recorded over 550,000 downloads and currently offers 89 services and features, highlighting the strong public demand for unified government digital tools.
The iGA and EWA urge all citizens and residents to ensure they have downloaded the MyGov app, which is available on the eGovernment Apps Store at bahrain.bh/apps. Services can also be accessed via the National Portal, bahrain.bh, or the EWA website, www.ewa.bh.
For further inquiries or information, the public may contact the EWA Customer Service Center at 17515555 or submit feedback and suggestions via the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul) or the Tawasul app.
