Investcorp Partners with Rashid Equestrian Club

In line with the directives of the Supreme Council of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister at the Court of the Prime Minister, the Club has signed a sponsorship agreement with Investcorp, a leading global alternative investment firm.

The agreement reflects Bahrain’s continued efforts to strengthen local and international partnerships that contribute to the growth and global appeal of horse racing in the Kingdom.

The partnership was formalized by Mr. Yousif Osama Buhejji, Chief Executive Officer of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, and Mr. Yousif Al Yousif, Head of Global Investment Placement at Investcorp. Under the agreement, Investcorp will sponsor one of the races during the prestigious Crown Prince’s Cup Horse Racing Festival for the 2025/2026 season.

Mr. Buhejji emphasized that horse racing in Bahrain enjoys strong national support and has witnessed remarkable progress through world-class events and championships hosted by the Club. He noted that this development has successfully attracted both local and international investors, paving the way for strategic partnerships that continue to elevate the sport’s profile.

He extended his appreciation to Investcorp’s management for their commitment and trust in this collaboration, noting that the Club remains dedicated to fostering an environment that encourages investment and enhances Bahrain’s position as a hub for equestrian excellence.

Mr. Al Yousif expressed Investcorp’s pride in joining hands with the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, highlighting that the partnership aligns with the company’s vision to support Bahrain’s pioneering community and sports initiatives.

He added that horse racing represents one of Bahrain’s most promising sports sectors, rooted in heritage yet rapidly evolving on the international stage — a key factor that inspired Investcorp to take part in advancing this iconic sport that continues to capture global attention.
