Bahrain Strengthens Digital Transformation Efforts to Enhance Government Services

In line with the visionary guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, Bahrain continues to advance its government digital transformation initiatives. This follows the framework of the Fourth Edition of the Unified Priority Government Programs, approved by the Cabinet and overseen by the Coordinating Committee chaired by the Crown Prince.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court and Head of the Prime Minister’s Office, met with Lieutenant-General His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chair of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology, at the Ministry of Interior. The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the Ministry’s implementation of digital transformation programs, initiatives, and plans under the unified government programs framework. These efforts aim to leverage advanced technologies to improve the efficiency and quality of electronic services, meeting citizens’ expectations and ensuring sustainable achievements across national development priorities.

His Highness emphasized that successful implementation of government plans and programs requires continued teamwork and adherence to a structured institutional approach characterized by precision and clarity. Such an approach enhances performance, improves the quality of services provided to citizens, and supports sustainable development that places citizens at the core of national progress.

He also highlighted the rapid advancements in Bahrain’s technological landscape, noting its efficiency, readiness, and contribution to various sectors within the nation’s comprehensive development journey. His Highness underlined that digital transformation is a key pillar for enhancing government efficiency and responsiveness through innovative technologies and secure access to government services, reflecting Bahrain’s commitment to development, innovation, and smart systems aligned with global advancements.

For his part, Minister of Interior Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa expressed his sincere appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his visit and support for initiatives aimed at developing government services. He noted that Bahrain’s focus on digital transformation has positioned the Kingdom among the world leaders in this field, a source of national pride. His Excellency affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continuing the implementation of comprehensive strategies and plans to enhance the efficiency and quality of electronic services.
