Bahrain, India Explore New Legal and Investment Frameworks
Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson, Secretary-General of the Council for International Dispute Resolution of the Kingdom of Bahrain, met with Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) of India, in a bid to strengthen bilateral legal and tax frameworks between the two nations.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in investment, legal collaboration, and the development of modern international dispute resolution mechanisms. Both sides explored strategies to promote cross-border investment, deepen legal ties, and implement effective dispute resolution instruments that contribute to economic growth.
The high-level meeting was attended by Dr. Anju Rathi Rana, Secretary of the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice, along with officials from India’s Ministry of External Affairs, former Additional Solicitor General Mrs. Pinky Anand, and Mr. Mahdi Jaafar, representative of the Bahrain Embassy in India.
The engagement reflects the commitment of Bahrain and India to strengthen legal cooperation and foster a stable environment for international investment.
