Court punishes couple for indecent online content

The Third High Criminal Appeals Court has upheld a lower court verdict sentencing a husband and wife to one year in prison and fining each BD200 for indecent online content.
The court also ordered the confiscation of two mobile phones used in committing the offence.
According to the Public Prosecution, the couple engaged in speech that violated public morals during a livestream on TikTok in 2025. The husband hosted the session, which was joined by his wife, and both delivered indecent content accessible to the public.
