Information & eGovernment Authority Advances Gender Equality in Workplace
Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed, CEO of the Information & eGovernment Authority, chaired the second meeting of the 2025 Equal Opportunities Committee. The meeting focused on promoting equality and empowering women within an inclusive work environment, reflecting the Authority’s ongoing efforts to ensure fairness and efficiency for all employees.
At the start of the meeting, Al-Qaed welcomed the committee members and praised their continuous efforts to strengthen the role of women within the Authority. The discussion included assessing staff needs to ensure all groups are supported, reviewing governance procedures related to equal opportunities according to Civil Service guidelines, and presenting the Authority’s promotion and appointment processes based on merit and competence. The meeting also highlighted services available to ensure equal opportunities for all employees.
The committee reviewed the results of a recently conducted job satisfaction survey by the Human Resources and Finance Department and established a mechanism for receiving suggestions on enhancing equal opportunities. Additionally, plans were made to publish an official statement outlining the Authority’s procedures for gender equality.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the Authority’s commitment to creating a fair and inclusive work environment, promoting equal opportunities, and supporting Bahraini women in the workplace. Al-Qaed praised the committee members for their active role in empowering employees and contributing to professional and social stability.
