New UAE Investor Center in Bahrain Marks Growing Economic Partnership
Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, His Excellency Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, welcomed His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, during an official visit aimed at boosting economic and trade collaboration between the two nations.
The meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters, underscored the strong and long-standing relationship between Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. Minister Fakhro praised the close bond between the two countries, rooted in shared history and mutual respect, and supported by the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Both ministers agreed on the importance of deepening economic cooperation and opening new doors for joint initiatives—particularly in trade, investment, and sustainable development.
As part of the visit, the two officials toured the recently launched UAE Investor Center in Bahrain. Minister Fakhro highlighted the center's role as a hub for Emirati investments and a key platform for expanding trade between the two countries. He noted the center’s potential to support investors and strengthen economic integration across sectors.
Dr. Al Zeyoudi expressed the UAE’s commitment to advancing its economic partnership with Bahrain and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to unlock new opportunities for businesses in both countries.
The visit also included participation in a workshop on the UAE’s experience with Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPA). Organized by the UAE negotiating team, the session brought together Bahraini officials and stakeholders to explore the CEPA model and its impact on international trade partnerships.
The visit reflects a shared vision by both nations to foster economic resilience, drive innovation, and promote regional prosperity through deeper strategic cooperation.
